My friend Martin's daughter Eloise is one of the coolest kids I know. So it sucks to hear that the excellent public school she attends in L.A.'s Chinatown is being threatened by Metro Charter School. Their co-location will deplete Castelar's resources, make immigrant kids second-class citizens in their own neighborhood, and destroy a Chinatown institution. Went to check out Oculus today. The train station hub designed by Santiago Calatrava on the World Trade Center site. Beautiful design but sloppily executed hope it's better when it's completely finished. #NYC #oculus #calatravaarchitecture
