Up In Da Club from Wong Fu Productions

Check out Wong Fu Productions hilarious new short about the going clubbing. It's a 4 part series, and I wrote some music for parts 3 and 4. I personally hate going to clubs, why does the music have to be so loud, and I can never hear what anybody is trying to say to me. I once went to a club in Hollywood for a friend's birthday, and even though I was wearing ear plugs, my hearing was damaged and my ears were ringing the next day. So I really related to this film, and was cracking up when I first sat down and wat...Read more

Images of China

I just posted a video documenting my trip to China back in March. I've included breathtaking views, a slice of modern life, and some things I just thought were amusing.

For the soundtrack, I used music from my Legendary Warriors album. It fits so well, it's almost as if I had written the music to those images. The CD also makes a perfect gift for the holidays, so I've lowered the price for the CD's by $3.

ME: On MTV.

Who says classical musicians can't ROCK? I always wondered what it would be like to rock out on stage in a rock band, and I finally did, and it was a thrill.

And this Saturday, you can watch my brief moment of rock stardom when my band, MOZART'S BIATCH, performs onstage in MTV's "Rock Band Battle," on Saturday, Nov. 15th. The show runs 1 hour and airs at 1pm and again at 10pm.

Adrenaline Rush: Performing for Several Hundred

This weekend I conducted the world premiere of my concert suite J-ok'el: Legend of La Llorona with the Golden State Pops Orchestra. It was a thrilling, gratifying, and tiring day.

I was a little bit jittery going on stage, but rather than being nervous, it was mostly from the excitement and energy of being in front of a live audience of several hundred. Afte...Read more

Tribute to Music from Classic Hollywood Films

I came across this amazing video of John Williams conducting a clever medley of themes from classic Hollywood movies. There wasn't a melody I didn't recognize, this is the stuff that listened to when I was a kid and inspired me to become a film composer.

Wish I was in Hawaii

I just found out that the film I just finished mixing yesterday, is set to play at the Hawaii International Film Festival. Holy crap I wish I could to Hawaii to surf and

watch films. I just don't have any money to make it there.

The film is This Will All Make Perfect Sense Someday, directed by Long Phan. And it looks like the shorts program that it's playing on is pretty awesome. Julia Kwan has a film playing, as well as J.P. Chan, someone who's work I've seen before at a festival a couple years ago.

Chopin and the Perfect Girl

Here's a beautiful and poignant scene from THIS WILL ALL MAKE PERFECT SENSE SOMEDAY, based on the famous Haruki Murkami short story ON MEETING MY 100% PERFECT GIRL ONE FINE APRIL MORNING. Starring Chris Dinh & Leni Ito. The film is directed by my buddy, Peter Phan, and I'm a fan of his beautiful flowing style. I was inspired by Chopin when I was composing for this scene...anyways, I'm getting back to work to finish writing the final scene of the film, enjoy!
