The term, ‘you’ve got to see this, it’s the best ever’ is bounced around a lot. “You’ve gotta check Breaking Bad, it’s the greatest show of all time (fair argument)! Or “Dude have you seen the Avengers, it’s an instant classic (not sure about a classic, but it was pretty awesome). But that is my point, everyone has their opinion on what you should see or hear, that is pretty subjective. Man’s capacity to build incredible things, and change the landscape of earth is incredible to me. Whether’s it’s building skyscrapers, reclaiming land so an already crowded island has more space, or carving giant monuments into mountains, I marvel at the constant ability we have to continue building (though sometimes to the detriment of the environment). Hoover Dam, is one such example.

Waking up at 4am is not my idea of a fun time, however my desire to beat traffic and to get in to Vegas little earlier far outweighed my desire to sleep. Strange as sleep usually wins.
