A few weeks ago we were invited to see The Hong Kong Film Festival premier of the NEW movie called SHINJUKU INCIDENT starring Jackie Chan, Daniel Wu, Ping Ping Fan, etc
It was a movie about Chinese illegal immigrants trying to make a living in one of the worlds busiest cities Tokyo, Japan.
The beginning of the movie was so real and I was reminded of the days when i was living in Tokyo back in’95…it was a hard time.
Shinjuku Incident is Jackie Chan’s first movies where he isn’t doing any crazy stunts or portraying a g...Read more
One night an idea dawned on us…we thought we were brilliant when we re-arranged our furniture, used our dining table, set up some old Beta tapes as a net and ingeniously invented the “GMT” mini Ping Pong table
For more than a year now, we’ve been challenging and hustling players around the world who have bravely challenged the “Hong Kong dream team”

Joe Castrucci started Habitat with the support from Chris Carter and Mike Hill back in 1999, time flies, it's been 10 years since Habitat been around and getting stronger and stronger.
We've been supporting Habitat since we started our business in 1999 which is the same year they started. I've been a fan of Joe Castrucci's artwork since I first saw it. To me, no deck is better than Habitat's deck. None of the team riders are in the club (oh well...maybe Steve Durante...). Think about it; Tim O'Connor, ...Read more
Back in 2002 when we first carried Crooks & Castles at 8FIVE2SHOP, it was only a couple of tee shirt graphics!
I remember telling all customers and the media in Hong Kong about this brand and how it was going to blow up and take over the rest of the street brands out there in the States. My prediction was right, well… it wasn’t much of a prediction but, more of a trust in the abilities of Dennis Calvero, Rob Panlilio, Emil Soriano, Bryan J Calvero and their homies. As long as they were in charge, Crooks & Castles would ...Read more
Awhile back, German photographer, Kai Von Rabenau came to Hong Kong to shoot a fashion editorial for one of our favorite magazine’s LoDown Magazine.
It was about Hong Kong through the eyes of Know1edge. Kai wrote that we knew our “dirty little back alleys, dark corners and hidden skategrounds like no other” but, by the time we got to the photo-shoot, Kai was taking us around our neighborhood to spots that we’ve never seen before.
Thanks for that Kai and thank you to Warren AKA WZA, Chun Chai, Kenny of 8...Read more

I’ve known Anthony for quite sometime now. He wasn’t the first filmer that came through China bringing mad pros but he’s definitely responsible for spreading the word about how dope Hong Kong and China are for skateboard spots and I’m psyched that he does that cause I got love for Hong Kong and China, especially Hong Kong.
Actually Hong Kong has a lot of dope spots but a lot of them are now banned for skateboarding with extra guards, extra cops and some stupid skate stoppers. So automatically, Shen Zhen (China; which is about 45 m...Read more
