三が日にはそれぞれの食材に意味を持つおせちを食べる。日本人の食に対してのこだわりが大好きです。Each dish and ingredient in osechi has meanings like good harvest, happiness, prosperity, good health, and longevity. Kazunoko, or pickled herring roe, symbolizes fertility and prosperity. Kuromame, or sweet black beans, imply good health. Ebi, or shrimps, means longevity because it bends like an old man's back.
