How better to spend a rainy Sunday evening than meeting established and just-starting actors, directors, producers, writers, cameramen, sound dudes and editors over a pint of beer (or glass of wine) to talk about how we're all going to torture ourselves with the most fun and tiring weekend of our lives in October by making a fully finished short film in 48 Hours!!! Oh and trying to get to know our future team members in the process!
Jokes aside, it was great that so many people made the effort to turn up despite the rain and that we have so many new people, as well as old familiar faces looking forward to joining the 48 Hour Film Project again this year and here are some pics from the evening. Yours truly and the gorgeous Amy Tsang - for those of you who don't know, she is starring in a new film called "Time Stopper" releasing on 23rd of this month at Broadway Cinematheque Soon to be director Kelvin Avon meeting his editor Daniel Clarke for the first time: The lovely Stephanie & Diane who were engaged in a competition to see who could hold more roles on their team: Man, I've squeezed myself into every photo... I'm starting to feel ashamed of myself now... Darren and Chris discussing the finer points of digital filming on portable devices: Now I may be alone in this, but I personally think that despite the general growth in the last few years, there are still not nearly enough meet-ups, brainstorming events or general get-together's for independent film-makers in HK. And I for one am pretty proud to be a member of one of them. So if you are someone looking to do more stuff in film or wanting to try for the first time or just want to meet some interesting creative people, then come along to our next event!
