Call for proposals: MDA International Film Fund 2011
MDA is now accepting proposals for International Film Fund
(IFF) 2011. The IFF aims to encourage Singapore production and post-production companies to take on executive producer or co-producer roles with international partners in films with maximum international marketability and commercial value.
MDA will co-invest up to S$5 million in each selected project, together with local production and/or post-production companies, other international partners and investors.
Feature film proposals that involve at least one Singapore company are eligible. These can be for live action, animated and stereoscopic 3D content, and should include meaningful levels of activities in development, pre-production, production and/or post-production to be undertaken in Singapore. Proposals will be assessed on their creative merits, financial returns and economic contributions to the Singapore media industry.
Proposals must be received by 4 April 2011, 6pm, Singapore time. The award of the IFF call will be made during ScreenSingapore ( www.screensingapore.com.sg), an international cinema event hosted by MDA from 5 to 12 June 2011.
