Team Testimony: Spontaneous Combustion

Stephanie Fodor:

"To be honest, I was apprehensive and unsure about joining the 48HFP when I went to the first meeting.

After learning about the entire process, as well as the commitment and effort necessary in order to complete a film on such a tight deadline, I was overwhelmed and skeptical. But I put my fears and doubts on the side, as I knew that I could not let an opportunity like this slip through my fingers. I jumped right in, and so did my amazing teammates-and with such a dedicated, passionate, and supportive group, I had the time of my life!"

Sean Tierney:

"It is remarkable what you can do when you simply refuse to entertain the idea of doing it. Logically, there is no good reason that I was able to get up Sunday and meet everyone for a re-shoot. The only reason I was able to do it was because I didn't allow myself to not do it. The coffee helped.

I had gone into this project sure that I would not be able to contribute anything onscreen, so I was very, very relieved to find that I was able to do so. I was also very lucky to be able, mostly, to be myself in the film.

Thanks for inviting me, convincing me I was capable, and including me."

May Lee:

"Honestly speaking, I felt like a zombie in the middle of the 48 hrs, and if it wasn't for the support and the positive energy from everyone, I swear I’d have really turned into one.   The48 hrs seemed soooooooo long/painful at one point that all i felt was severe back pain, dry itchy eyes and serious dehydration, I was asking myself - how many more hrs to go?  And when it was finally over, I immediately wished that it could have lasted for longer!"Thomas Lo:"In reality, we were actually able to shoot the entire film in 24 hours but because of some equipment problems wihtout a go-to guy to help us, we had to do a re-shoot.  I knew at some point we would be facing adversity but didn't know to what degree...well, we found out and not only did we not panic, we thrived and succeeded under the pressure.  This was a total team effort and thank you to all who were involved as it couldn't have been completed without your input!

Thank you to all my teammates, phenomenal job, and look forward to working with all of you again!!  I hope that their first time was as good as they had hoped for and I truly wish them all the best!

Thanks again to the following:

JP Concept Salon, The One bar, Wowwowtank, e.v.e.n.t., alivenotdead, xenter jut, Zuma Restaurant and Bar, Yellow frog media, Ivy Lam, Spencer Douglass, and the rest of the 48HFP family!" Yung Yung:

"It was a great experience. Everything postive and negative were there to make us closer and stronger as a team. Everybody was there to support each other.  The reshoot and rapid editting would not be possible without the support from the entire group. The spirit and dedication of the team members made COCKTAIL DEFINITION possible. I am proud to be a part of SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION team."
