Whew! Hard Copy with Helix production is over. It was so much fun but draining at the same time. After everything was over, I totally hit the sack. I haven't slept this well in quite a while. Everyone involved was incredibly professional and we had so much fun. Catering was especially off the chain! Sucks for me though, I think I gained at least a whopping 4 lbs due to my gluttonous inclination. I regret nothing! prefix = o /
So yeah, originally we did some wire work
but then we decided, "who needs wirework when you have DY Sao right?" Right? So we ditched-ed-ed the idea of wires and fed Mr. DY Sao 2 plates of awesomely spicy pad thai (for that extra padding), gave him an unnecessarily large campers backpack, made him wear tight levi's jeans while holding 2 3.5 lbs 9mm Berrettas; we expected him to aim straight while doing a half butterfly-half aerial while shooting upside-down, just for starters. Thankfully it took only 4 takesand all was pleased. Doing this kind of stuff just makes me more anxious to get my more complicated moves lit up on film.
And oh man, can this team light a scene?! Friggin looks perfect (it better, takes them like 3 hours for each shot, that's a hard 3 hours of playing wii and acting like children hahah hard work!). When you see the finished product, you wont believe that everything took place in a warehouse (whorehouse? No, warehouse). I learned a lot, man.
shooting a real gun while pulling the trick
The one thing that disappointed me (and probably the rest of the team also) was that we ran out of time and couldn't shoot the original plan the director genius-ly put together.
Like we took my kew pose out :(. So the story was dumbed down a lot but I still think it has a good chance of winning. Crossed fingers!
To sum it up: awesome life experience. Met some great people.
Jay (bad guy) and Madoka (wardrobe - sweetest friend evar!!) lounging being useless haha.
no you can't sleep to revive your energy, must bother you
Ming (director) and Richard (his father that play the uncle in the short) i think he stole the show with his comedic nature.
playing wii when we weren't needed
ain't it great to beat children at wii? haha Craig cried with the kid won
April was working the whole time on things i had no clue about :)
the movie we wanted to make. yes, thank you for pointing that out! I KNOW HE'S BIGGER THAN ME!
sweetest man ever! wish he was my real uncle :) Steve (producer) thanks for reminding me to stop eating like a maniac. he's the reason i'm still alive. thank you!
Amanda maintained the sanity by supplying the coffee and food.
Kelly (make up girl) respect us actors so much
Klara (make up) gave me the shrimp off her plate
