Bape Heads Live Show 2008 - pt 2 - N.E.R.D.

Part 2! After a REALLY long intermission,  the 2nd of 3 acts started up -  It was N.E.R.D., led by Pharrell Williams.   ベープへードスショウの次の部： N.E.R.D.(ファレル・ウィリアムス)でした、すごいでしたよ。その時台の前近くに行けた。良かった！

I wasn't sure what to expect out of NERD.  I knew a couple of their songs of course (since 'Lapdance' at least), but I couldn't say I was a big fan or anything.  I actually took my time coming back from the intermission to find that they had opened up the front section in front of the stage:

Since we had VIP passes, I was able to loiter and get a close-up view...

Wish I had had this view for Teriyaki Boyz!

Pharrell is the guy in the Red hat.  You may notice that there's a live band behind him.  Unlike most rap groups,  N.E.R.D. rolls w/ a full band.  　近いよ!赤帽子はファレルだった。すごいエナジェティーク演じた。ライブバンドもありました、楽しかった。

The band was rocking and between the sound system and the lights, they conveyed a lot of energy.  (And of course Pharrell working the crowd helped a lot too). It was pretty cool,  felt like a real live bandshow,  not just someone rapping to a CD.

The crowd was really rocking.  At Pharrell's suggestion, one particular fellow took it upon himself to try and get some crowd surfing going:

Unfortunately I don't think the people near him were willing! :-(

Teriyaki Boyz came out for a bit... (as seen in the video)　テリヤキ・ボイズも一回上台した。

Also Pharrell had a bunch of people get on stage w/ them:

But not surprisingly  the net widened to include any half-way attractive girls who were close enough to get to the stage.  At one point the Olsen Twins were also reluctantly brought out. :-P観衆何人は台も上りました、綺麗女の子とか。。。オルセン姉妹も短間も居た。

Final thought:  N.E.R.D. had a lot of energy and got the crowd going much better than anyone else... I was quite impressed.  If they come back to town, I'm definitely going to try to go!
