Another set of pictures from an event two weeks back!
this was from a Chivas event held at the Watermark at the Central Ferry Pier. Called ' Chivas Studio', they did an exhibition of photos as part of a multi-day art and design event. . ;-)
They even had a commercial for it:
Video: http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=c1t501SNnCY The photos being exhibited were a very interesting set of pictures called 'Prevation - a Manga Story"by Wing Shya, featuring styling by Sean K and featuring none other than Terence Yin as one of the models. The photos actually look like they're stills from a movie, as there's a flow of story across the series of photos and the settings and subjects change ( click here to see the full set of pictures in Sean K's album), and . Obviously a good deal of money was spent to take such fancy pictures with an all-star cast and crew.
They had large prints of the photos spaced around a gallery room ( click here for Wing's photos of the gallery). The rest of the event was quite extravagant as well.... take a look at the pics of the bar:
Its too bad I don't drink. I'm sure someone else would appreciate the free samples... apparently the 18 year old is much tastier than the 12 year old. :-P
Lots of reporters taking pics and doing interviews of Terence:
The beautiful Miss Ankie Beilke came out!
Where has she been the last few months of my life! (filming in Europe apparently).
In the back area they had a DJ playing... complete with Go-Go dancers:
Hmm... Orange sweatpants don't really do it for me... :-P
But the most strange/interesting thing was the live art performance they did...
Basically take an attractive asian model, put her in blonde wig and a giant white dress, a la 18th Century France... and then have a guy paint cool designs on it live.
The problem was he was also using spray paint!
Notice he's wearing a respirator, but what about her? i don't think the fan will protect her from the fumes! :-O
Later on he started using brushes too...
I wonder if thats the fumes getting to her! :-D
Last but not least, a slightly blurry group picture:
Great to see Simon Birch for the first time in a long time!
Pretty good event, congrats to those involved! I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the 2nd night's performance too!
