Dead Not Alive Halloween 2011 - Part 1 - My Steve Jobs Costume

I'm still in recovery mode from the Halloween party on Saturday night.    Not much time to blog about the party yet... but....

As you may have seen in my last blog, I did a very simple yet timely (or perhaps tastelessly timed) costume that was a big hit.  Sooo many people asking to take pictures with me, etc....

Yes, that's a Steve Jobs iPhone case I got in Shenzhen two weeks ago -

The costume as you can guess was very simple... just a black turtleneck I bought at Uniqlo and some jeans I already had.  I don't have any New Balance shoes, so I just wore the light blue Reebok Zig-Tech shoes I got for free from Red Bull last year after Flugtag (which I never wear because they're kind of hideous!)   ;-)

The rest was just some white hair coloring spray I got in Tokyo a few days ago. 

I had a LOT of random people asking to take pictures the whole night... to the point of it interfering with my ability to work.... but actually it helped in many ways too when we had riotous crowds at the door... when Steve Jobs asks you to form a single file line,  you listen!  :-P

In addition to sensational photos of beautiful women like Ana R and Jeana Ho in skimpy Halloween costumes,  my good friend Gloria and I ended up getting a picture together in the HK Headline News -

The title says " 黃榕搭上「翻生喬布斯」", which translates to approximately - "Gloria Wong is leaning on 'Resurrected Jobs'

And this one is somewhat cheating, because they were a media sponsor,  but CNNgo.comused my pic as the thumbnail on their coverage of the party.  Here I am on the top page of their HK site:

But I think the coolest was I even got retweeted by Jeana Ho herself on her weibo:

She says "I love this" (not quite "I love Resurrection Steve Jobs",  but I'll take what I can get).  The original post has like 80+ retweets, including from EastTouch magazine and some sort of 'Official Steve Jobs Biography' Sina Weibo account ( 乔布斯官方传记)....

ha!   Think different! :-P
