Have you guys noticed that there are two spellings for Macau? Depending on what language you're speaking. I had assumed "Macao" was Portuguese and "Macau" was the English spelling, but according to Wikipedia the spelling in Portuguese is Macau too, but its Macao in Italian and Spanish and several other languages. But for some reason the Casinos use 'Macao' in their names (ie its the "Venetian Macao" not "Venetian Macau").
I try to make sure to spell it appropriately... but even the spell checker in firefox doesn't recognize the 'correct' English spelling of Macau! :-P
Anyway, as you may know, we cohosted our first DJ event over at the Bellini Lounge at the Venetian on Thursday night. DJ Fly from France was spinning. His DJ skills are pretty impressive but we were worried a lot of people wouldn't want to go all the way to Macau on a Thursday night... luckily we know enough people who don't start work at 9am on Friday mornings... we got about 40 people to go over with our group plus a bunch of Macau locals came out too.
Here's my pics:

Gold Mountain did some rapping too!
The beautiful Petra Wan came out too!

they had their go-go dancers out too. definitely more pleasing on the eyes than just a DJ standing there. ;-)
Faith was in town too, great to see her again.
the drinks flowed for sure. ;-)
despite the weather and the distance, I think most people had a good time. Hopefully no one lost too much on the tables too. :-D
