Korean Movie Review - 'A.P.T.' (아파트)

I'm not really into horror movies per se.  I generally find them annoying and not scary and most of them dwell too much on gore rather than anything else.  But 'A.P.T.' was in my pile of Korean DVDs to watch, and  I'm a stickler for completeness.

As you can guess from the title,  this movie centers around an apartment complex... in this case a HAUNTED apartment complex... (otherwise it wouldn't be a very scary horror movie, would it?) 

The main character played by the beautiful Ko So-young (고소영), finds out something is not quite right in her apartment complex. when people suddenly start dying mysteriously.  She pulls a 'Rear Window' and busts out the binoculars to try and figure it out.  Of course the police are hopeless, as this is clearly a case of the super natural. :-P

It is a bit gory, but the movie as a whole is pretty well made,  they do get the 'scary' stuff down pretty well and its not very predictable (although there are some oversights in the character's behavior that don't really make sense to me, but I suppose I tend to over analyze these things).

I'll give it a 6/10.  I think thats partially due to the fact that the apartment complex in the movie reminded me a LOT of the apartment complex I used to live in in Japan.  :-P
