Marley Headphones Launch in Hong Kong

Last week I had the chance to go to a media event held at the Hard Rock Cafe Hong Kong for the launch of a new line of headphones, called 'Marley'... yes, that Marley...   they are in fact licensed by his son.... no not THAT son (Ziggy), the other one... Rohan (who apparently in addition to being known as 'the other Bob Marley son' [by me], can also be accurately described as 'Mr. Lauren Hill' according to Wikipedia).

They have numerous types with Bob Marley / Reggae inspired designs and names like 'Soul Rebel' and 'Stir It Up'.    Check them all out here -

I didn't get a chance to test any of the headphones, but I'm guessing based on the price point that they are pretty decent quality.

The event featured a very good live band doing Reggae. 

When was the last time you saw this in HK?  (yes, a cover band in HK that's not Filipino!)

I had pushed my way up to the front to get a good picture of the band and there was one particularly animated fellow with dreadlocks standing next to me who was REALLY enjoying the music....  I quickly realized that he was in fact Rohan Marley... (who I guess still enjoys hearing people play his dad's songs no matter where in the world he is).

As you can see he's quite a gregarious person! Seemed very nice too,  I only spoke with him briefly (when he bumped into me while dancing about).    He actually got on the drums and played with the band for a bit too. Pretty cool.
