After Saturday's concert, I went home and took a nap... and around 2 I headed down to the latest installment of 'MegaTrance'! It was quite crowded and boisterous, as usual:
Lots of strange and amazing fashions as far as the eye can see...
I was a bit tired from riding my bicycle all the way to HRC and back the night before, and then standing up at the concert for 2 hours earlier that night, but I was genki enough to enjoy myself:
That girl Yasuyo was on the turntables a few minutes after I got there. (Yasuyo working the tables)
Aska and her friend Mohi (fellow para para dance group member) were working there again. They were all wearing color coordinated white outfits tonight for some reason...
But coordinating outfits seems to be more common than I originally noticed, there are lots of groups of people who had matching shirts on, etc. They're all members of various dance or music groups...
Case in point, these three beauties from Team Gazen
I can't remember the the names of the two on the sides, but the one in the middle's (nick)name was Unicorn. (at first because of the japanlish, I thought she said her name was Uniqlo, which is a japanese clothing retailer like Old Navy... but I digress).
She was cool enough to let me snap a picture of her with her eyes closed, aka "panda" mode (her description, not mine).
Their team is actually based on Kumam0t0, about an hour south, and unlike most of the other groups, they were all about syncronized para para all the time:
Gazen Team Attack!
You'll notice the girl on the left in the above picture is packing an authentic Hamasaki Ayumi 2006 Arena tour plastic light up fan (which sells at the concert for $10). These girls, as with quite a few people at this party had all gone to the concert earlier in the night too.
So the DJs worked it into the event, including a mini re-creation of the indoor snow fall seen in Hamasaki's 2005 tour performance of Carols (frame grabs here here here here). While playing the trance remix version of the same song, the DJ picked up one of those soap bubble blowing things and made a mini-blizzard in the club: Carols w/ fake snow.
OK, might seem lame to most people, but to me (and the other concert goers) it was pretty cool. :-P
