Mongkok, etc...

Tonight i went down to Mongkok to pick up a phone for Beaver.  At the cell phone mall, i had to stop and take a picture of this shop's sign:

T0fu Dick's Shop...    its a name AND an insult!

The shop i bought my p990 was closed, so i had to hunt around to find another one that looked trustworthy and had a decent price.  He wanted a Treo 700, but no shop seems to carry that one,  it was either the 750 or the 680.  So I got him a Treo 680 for HK$3200.   

I was disappointed to see my P990 selling for 30-40%+ less than what I paid for it... but then again I bought it in October 06 when it was new,  so it should be too surprising.

On the way home I took the TST->M0S bus, the 87D.  Since it goes all the way up Nathan Rd to Boundary St,  it makes a lot of stops and gets pretty packed later in the evenings. In this case I was one of the last few people to squeeze into an already packed bus.  So I was basically standing the whole time in front of the line that says 'stand behind the white line.'  It was ok on the surface streets but a bit unnerving once we got on the highway... 

Basically if there was an accident, all that stood between me and a trip right out the front windscreen was my ability to grip the handrail.    The real fun was when the driver careened through the toll booth without slowing down...

BONUS pic:  This next picture is actually from a few days back.  I was in line at the super market and I noticed they had a special on condoms:

Limited Edition Lychee Condoms! holy crap. I should have bought some just for the novelty factor, if nothing else.

For some reason all these boxes were kind of smashed.  maybe thats why they were on sale... (or maybe it was because no one wants to bring lychee flavor into the bedroom???)
