Continuing from my last blog...
After showing them TST and the star ferry, i took my two Japanese visitors to the Night Market
on Temple Street in Yau Ma Tei ( wikipedia). Its a regular street during the day, but at night they close off the road and set up a lot of stalls selling all kinds of stuff:
日本から友達来たから、九龍の 廟街ナイトマーケトへ連れて行った.色々物を売れます: I haven't been around this way in a year or two, i usually just go to Tung Choi Street in Mongkok(or even better, Shenzhen) for this kind of stuff... But tourist wise its probably more interesting...
Always time for some photo-ops!
One thing that makes this area unique is the other stuff they have going on at night besides selling stuff: ここで占い師が一杯居る。面白と思いますか?
these are fortune tellers... there's a whole block full of them... some read palms, some have some complicated charts or something... on some they have pictures of celebrities and i presume what ever divination they've figured out is in that person's future. ( but they didn't predict Terence's sex change...)
most but not all were sitting alone in their booths...
You can't tell from the blurry picture, but this particular fortune teller was quite strange looking, one of his eyes was permanently pointed in the wrong direction and he had what best could be described as 'crazy hair'... but regardless, or because... he had a customer!
ok, more to come!
