Redbull Flugtag HK: Vince and I were in the newspaper!

i haven't had a chance to post up our pictures from the Flugtag build yet.  actually the plane is pretty much 3/4 done.  we just need wheels and some material on the wings. :-P

On tuesday i had to go back for a press session.  Simon and Derrick were busy w/ a job and so it was just Gloria and Vince and I, but Gloria had to leave by the time the press got there...

This is what it looks like now:

but the whole thing is made from bamboo... no nails used! 100% recyclable!

it will look cooler when the entire thing is skinned... I hope. :-P

its just made w/ nylon ties...  but that's ok, it only has to fly once!

this picture is not at all completely staged! 

the pilot sits here....  the question is,  who has the guts to fly this thing?

our secret weapon is not just our plane, but our base.  We actually made a giant bamboo pyramid to launch our plane off of.. 

on paper 4m didn't seem so big, but actually when you look at it in real life, its quite high...  

so again, I ask, who's got the guts to pilot this?!? (gloria, we're counting on you!)

Finally the press arrived but Gloria was gone by then.  they did a boring press intro (OK bosch guy, I get it,  the saw can cut wood!)

These guys were there... they must have been dying in those costumes, it was so hot in this place.
