The Message (風聲) Premiere in Hong Kong

On Tuesday night, we were lucky enough to get invited to the premiere of the Mainland China coproduced film 'The Message' ( 風聲 ) We had no idea what the film was about going into it, but it was actually very good. You can read my review here:http://www.alivenotdead.com/etchy/Chinese-Film-Review-The-Message--profile-773522.html昨天晚上我參加大陸片' 風聲 '的香港的首映.  電影的主人大部分都在! 請看看我的照片吧! I was surprised to find out that most of the cast came to HK for the premiere at Kowloon's HITEC center,  hosted by the local partner,  Emperor Motion Pictures. Of course I kept my camera handy the whole time! Check out my pics! (be sure to scroll all the way down, they get better later).Oh look who's here,  its HK Super Model Grace Huang and singing sensation Maggie Hou.  The 'premiere ceremony' (aka press photo op) was in one of the halls.  Unfortunately this was one of those events where as an attendee, you can't really see much because of all the press blocking the view all the time.  I should apply for a press pass next time. :-PHayama Hiro and Jason ChangGrace and Maggie againAs you can imagine, when the cast showed up things got much more crazy around the signing boardZhou Xun and Li BingbingThey did a short ceremony on a platform with a big version of the movie poster too:I need a better telephoto lens![](/attachments/2009/09/30/17/23002_200909301718444.thumb.jpg)Patrick + afforementioned artistsIt was nice to bump into HK film legend Raymond Chow and his family.  I met him briefly a year before at the Tokyo International Film Festival.  It was nice of them to take a photo with our group. There were a lot of attractive guests in attendence,  I couldn't recognize any, but these girls are most likely up and coming models/actors signed to a local management agency that brought them. (or they are the so-called 'Lang Mo').After most people went into the theater, I stayed behind to try and snag some better pictures during the press interviews:Huang XiaomingIn case he forgets his own name, these people are here to remind him. They also occasionally chant it out loud just to be safe.   (actually the reporters had to tell them to shut up because they were ruining the interviews w/ their chanting!) ;-)Li Bingbing with Zhang Hanyu a bit further backShe is quite pretty in person,  I don't know if my pictures do her justice.Zhou Xun unfortunately never got to my end of the press area, so I had to resort to more under exposed telephoto shots:Swamped for TV interviewsAlex Su YoumingSo it turns out the screening was in Star Hall, the same place they do pop concerts, etc.  This place can sit about 2000 people  if they open the upper balcony, so you can imagine how big it is.  they had a huge screen set up at one end,  but there was a big gap between the screen and the front row.  I realized once the movie started that it was because of the width and height of the screen,  sitting any closer would have been unbearable!   Zhou Xun remarked on the crazy size of the venue when she made some remarks to the audience before the screening too. :-P

its not armbands, its the sticker for the movie, as you can see at our parties, this is normal for making sure the event marketing appears in all the photos (by literally branding the person). but for most women, they stick it on their arm, since otherwise it'll obscure their outfits!
