"The Sniper" World Premiere at HKIFF! (神槍手)

After the pre-party for "The Sniper" (神槍手), we went to the premiere media event in the HKCEC.

The Sniper features Richie Ren,  Huang Xiaoming and this other actor who you may have heard of...  his name is Edison Chen...    as a result of a bit of a news story about him,  this movie's release was pushed back from May 2008 to March 2009.  

Because there was a government function in the other event hall,  they did the 'red carpet'  in the foyer of the theater instead of the main lobby area where they normally do it.  But out here  there were fans lined up already -

Yes, you can tell from the signs, these are mostly (but not all)  super fans of Richie Ren (任賢齊), they've beaten the Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明) fans out for the prime spots in front

Yes, that guy totally looks like his wife forced him to go...

Inside there were a few artists appearing in front of the backdrop:

Miriam Yeung(楊千嬅 ) and East Asia Media boss Peter Lam( 林建岳)

The FAMA boys came out too:

Ckwan and Lukwing

Not sure if they're actually in the movie or they just came out to support it because they're part of Edison's company.

A few minutes later the big guy himself came out:

A bunch of younger 'stars' I didn't recognize.  in these cases I always assume they're TV people, since I'm generally good about recognizing movie people and horrible at recognizing TV people. :-P

One face I immediately recognized:

Miss Mango Wong,  who I've been a fan of since she appeared in Conman 2002!  ;-)

It wouldn't be a sniper movie without some snipers, right?
