Tropic Thunder (2008)

Wow, turned out to be better than I thought!

I didn't expect much, if anything out of it... but it actually had a few pretty funny scenes. And believe it or not, a pretty creative plot - a movie within a movie that's not really a movie. What the hell was up w/ Robert Downey Jr?!? Totally bizarre (i didn't know it was really him for like 1/2 the movie). Good performances by Stiller, Jack Black, MacConnaughey, etc

Definitely lots of homage to your favorite 80s action movies - Rambo, Predator, etc and lots of Vietnam films - Apocalypse Now, Platoon, etc. I'll give it a 6/10.
