Wild Day Out 2008 - Part 2

Finally finished this!   i did the video a few days ago, but no time to post it up in a blog!

Here's the 2nd part of my pics and video from the Wild Day Out show last weekend.

As many have mentioned already, 24 and Josie did a great job performing right after sunset...  (with great views as a backdrop!)

We were all quite excited when the graphics started coming up on the giant screens...

Check out my video of 24's set, and a bit from Josie's too:

a bit far, but i think you can still recognize them...

if you want much clearer pics, be sure to check out Berton's photos from the front... 24 Herbs and Josie @ Wild Day Out

Probably the best one.  Kit doing his hip-hop thing.

24's set was pretty good, as you can see from the video, they got the crowd going after a while.  But at the start there were some microphone troubles which was kind of unfortunate (i guess having 5 guys on 5 mics was too hard for the WDO audio crew to handle?  it took them like 1 or 2 minutes to get all 5 turned up to the same level.  AND they had to clean up all the bad words in their songs...  "Real Straight Up!"  :-D

And some from Josie's set:

Yes, she was the butterfly!

more dramatic poses from Josie!

We all enjoyed it:

Its the www.alivenotdead.com flier distribution team!

I took this one from the back when Boon and I made a run for hotdogs... you can see 'The Arch' apartment  building(s) overshadowing the stage...

Next up was 'S.H.E.',  I was surprised that I recognized more then a few of their songs: 台湾のギャールバンド”S.H.E."でした:

the fans liked them quite a bit...

They came down to our end of the stage too:

But actually it was not a wise idea,  i could tell even more clearly that they were lip-synching half of their set when they were that close...  of course because they didn't have a band you know they're already playing a CD in the background... but the CD also apparently contained all the harmony parts (or whatever you call it when more than one of them was supposed to be singing the same notes together).  Usually it would be one of them (the blue one in the middle) singing something and the other two 'singing' the background vocals, but you could definitely tell at certain points all three of them were singing something separate leaving no one left to sing the harmonies... :-P

I guess i shouldn't be too surprised....  Also I don't like the political overtones of their 'Chinese' (中國話) song... :-P

Anyway,  we actually left early... I didn't get to stay for Fahrenheit (doh!)  or more importantly Paul Wong...  we had to go to Wanchai to meet up for a post-performance celebration dinner w/ the 24 boys: コンサット早出た、24味男一緒食事した!

It was a great meal, we gotta eat w/ Conroy and Eddie more often! ;-)

美味しかったよ!
