Rock Star United 08

Notes from Gwailo:-

The guys and I didn't know what to expect when we were asked to perform at Flight 852; a Christian Youth Club. When we asked where we should keep our equipment, one of the organisers replied that we better put it at the back because there will be a lot of moshing going on. I laughed to myself because I doubted that there would be any moshing. But, I was so wrong! The crowd was out of control (in a good way!) and it looked like they were having the times of their lives.

The night was a mixture of high school bands and bands that have performed at the Underground. The bands that were referred by the Underground were: Killersoap, 218 (they couldn't play as the guitarist went into hospital that night) and F.B.I.! The high school bands were of very high quality, and I've got to mention that there was a band up before us with a female vocalist, and she was really really good. Actually, all the bands were good. Though, I was pretty shocked when I saw one band performing almost death metal. I had to ask where I was again.

We shared the stage with Killersoap who we met during the Icable competition. We have alot of respect for them because they are a quality band. Rocky and the boys kept the atmosphere going and FBI joined the crowd to mosh along to their music.  Killersoap's set was well rounded and very tight. We hope that we can have more shows with them in the future.

We really enjoyed playing for this audience. It really helps when the crowd is enjoying themselves and jumping around having a good time. It is a life-force that we can feed upon and turn into energy to spit back at them. We really hope that when we can come back again that there will be a crowd doubled in size, but equaled in intensity.
