Going to a festival and staying at home at the same time ? Yes, that's possible with the European Spiritual Film Festival ( ESFF), founded by French film director / producer and Viet Vo Dao master, Marc Olivier Louveau a.k.a. Lou Ma Ho (His short movie, A Monk's Awakening, is still receiving awards in festivals around the world since 2005 !).
Actually, the first edition of this festival will be held between March 21st and April 26th, 2008, "mostly" on the festival website where everyone can submit a film (with an entry fee - last deadline is January 15th) or become a member (for free) and be able to vote for the . A preliminary committee will select the finalists, then the finalists' films will be online from February 20th, 2008 for the audience/members. Also, the jury panel (composed by seven personalities from the worlds of cinema and spirituality) will choose the movies for the four other awards ( , , & ).
The winners will receive a trophies and cash prizes and theirs movies will be screened in Paris, at Le Divan du Monde, on April 26th, 2008, between 10 a.m. an 6 p.m. The closing festivities and awards ceremony will start at 8 p.m. More info on the festival website here : www.festival-esff.com
