「電影‧傳說」：夜夜春色、牧羊人之戀

早在活地阿倫拍《情迷午夜巴黎》之前，雷克萊亞已為文藝青年帶來瘋狂春夢，不單讓懷才不遇的音樂家回到上世紀初La Belle Epoque的美好年代，更穿越古今，遇上不同時空的花樣美女。可說是格里菲斯《黨同伐異》的喜劇變奏，雷克萊亞以其創作巔峰的功力，帶來絕對好玩的太虛幻境之旅。

伊力盧馬遺作《牧羊人之戀》則是一場古代羅曼史。牧羊女目睹情郎跟少女接吻，認定情郎出軌，情郎傷心尋死，投河卻被救起，結果男扮女裝守在牧羊女身邊，牧羊女就漸漸發現自己愛上了這個酷似舊愛的神秘「女子」。大師返璞歸真，借古典美的愛與慾，跟觀眾作最後告別。

《夜夜春色》6月12日場次放映後，設「電影‧傳說」座談會，講者劉嶔、王勛。之後在同一場地繼續放映《牧羊人之戀》。

Once Upon a Film: BEAUTIES OF THE NIGHT and THE ROMANCE OF ASTREA AND CELADON

Long before Woody Allen made MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, Rene Clair brought us to the fantasy world of every hipster in BEAUTIES OF THE NIGHT. The story takes us back to La Belle Epoque, where impoverished composer Claude meets all kinds of beauties from different eras. Intended as a comic variation on D.W. Griffith's multipart INTOLERANCE, Rene Clair offered a banquet of love and dreams at his creative peak.

Eric Rohmer's swan song THE ROMANCE OF ASTREA AND CELADON is an adaptation of the 17th century pastoral fantasy by Honore d'Urfe. After Astrea thinks she witnessed Celadon flirting with another woman, she regretfully sends him away. Devastated, Celadon throws himself into the river to end his life. Ironically, Celadon is saved by nymphs, and in order to be close to Astrea, he dons drag and begins a close friendship with her. A poetic and delightful film dedicated to the follies and pleasures of devoted love, and a fitting final statement from a director always concerned with the emotions and philosophies of love.
