夏日國際電影節2016：似是有緣人、狂戀

伊朗殿堂級導演基阿魯斯達米上月病逝，夏日國際電影節選映他的《似是有緣人》，正好作為回顧大師畢生創作的切入點。真偽難辨與冒充臨摹的主題，在本片有絕妙發揮，雖然離開了導演熟悉的伊朗文化背景，赴意大利取景，起用國際明星，卻無損他對電影的思考與實驗。茱麗葉庇洛仙更憑本片獲封康城影后。8月21日場次設映後座談會，講者黃愛玲、張偉雄、李焯桃。

積葵利維特的《狂戀》是他打破成規，走出風格第一作。故事裡的劇場導演排演希臘悲劇，另有電視台攝製隊全程記錄，劇情部份用35mm拍，紀錄部份用16mm拍，排演、訪問與生活交替，多角愛情線交錯，大量即興演出，敘事與後設趣味同步，在長鏡頭下散發神秘氛圍。片長四小時，戲院放映機會難逢，影痴萬勿錯過。8月20日場次設映後座談會，講者劉偉霖。

SummerIFF16: CERTIFIED COPY and L'AMOUR FOU

Following the recent passing away of Abbas Kiarostami, Summer IFF pays tribute to one of the greatest filmmakers of our times with screenings of CERTIFIED COPY, his first film made outside Iran. Juliette Binoche, in her Cannes' Best Actress winning performance, plays a gallery owner who meets an art lecturer. The two starts out as a couple in a conventional romantic comedy, but soon the reality of their relationship becomes obscure, and the film turns into as mind-bending reflection on authenticity.

French New Wave filmmaker Jacques Rivette's L'AMOUR FOU pushes beyond the boundaries of narrative, scriptwriting, and acting style and entered into a new dimension of filmmaking. The film portrays the disintegration of a marriage, with much resemblance to the notorious real-life breakup of Jean-Luc Godard and Anna Karina. Rivette shot the film using 35mm and injected Andre S. Labarthe's 16mm documentation of stage rehearsals to create this rarely-seen one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Don't miss it!
