classics, will contribute brand new
short films to
QUATTRO HONG KONG 2
,
an omnibus project
commissioned by Brand Hong Kong and
produced by the Hong Kong
International Film Festival Society.
The finished works will have its
world premiere at the upcoming
35
th HKIFF.
The QUATTRO HONG KONG
series, inaugurated in 2010, was
created as a celebration of
the city of Hong Kong. It featured
four short works by renowned local
filmmakers Clara LAW, Fruit CHAN,
Herman YAU and Heiward MAK and
got great success last year.

HKIFF will be held from 20 March to 5

《香港四重奏II》即將於第35屆香港國際電影節面世!今年由4位享譽國際的導演執導4部短片,分別為泰國的
阿彼察邦韋拉斯花古,去年憑《波米叔叔的前世今生》奪得康城影展金棕櫚獎;菲律賓導演
布里楊文杜沙,曾獲2009年康城影展最佳導演獎;馬來西亞導演
何宇恆,執導的《心魔》使惠英紅榮膺香港電影金像獎影后;以及香港著名導演
關錦鵬,其作品如《胭脂扣》及《阮玲玉》早被譽為華語電影的經典。
《香港四重奏》系列始於2010年,目的為推廣香港的國際都會形象。電影節去年應「香港品牌」邀請,監製4齣短片,分別由4位本地著名導演:羅卓瑤、陳果、邱禮濤及麥曦茵執導,合稱《香港四重奏》,成績斐然,備受注目。
