Being black for a day...

  Yesterday I had the most interesting shoot of my whole career. Half of my body and my face was painted dark brown! I looked like an African Swahili princess.

The story was for hair so I also sported 5 different hair styles...very African. I don't know why I agreed to do this...I guess perhaps it's beause I've always wondered what I would look like as a black girl, or maybe it was simply because I love doing creatives....but whatever the reason was, I did it, I was a black girl for a day, and I loved it!!!

The funny part of this whole thing was that there were a lot of people who are dark skinned in that area and I had to step outside for a minute only to have them pointing and starring. (I think they suspected that there was something not right.) So I went indoors quickly before I offended anyone. 

The pictures turned out amazing and they don't even look like me!

At the end of the day I had three guys frantically scrubbing me to get the makeup off but to little success...I walked out of the studio multi colored...a little embarrassing to say the least.

Well I think I got most of it off now...and I'm back to my plain white skin, but I must say, I miss being black!

Today I will be shooting for some hair awards thing, should be fun!
