1st draft of scrīpt done, and now time to revise... and i tell people imma shoot this film in 2-3 weeks... i think i might take a few days to revise this and then get ready to just cast people in this film b/c i want to see this thing off ground. So far:Completed:-built steadicam(fixed problem too b/c of incorrect instructions from website for some components, website jacked me)-1st draft(sent to peepz and gotten feedback)-Scout location for:1 location(damn, need to get more done)-Secured music composer(my buddy JC)-camera secured(friend Mike's bro's sony HD)-crew secured: D.P., camera operator. So yeah... got a ways to go still...I think problem I am having is everyone telling me different things they like/dislike about it, it's a good thing for me to see this now and find out that people got diff. preferences, but all in all, u get the same kinda vibe so you know what to work on. I've gotten real good feedback and just some minor continuity mistakes and small things to patch up, otherwise I think i am definitely close. Being perfectionist and working on this for past 2 months, and really being my 1st scrīpt of my own since "600" i considered more of an improv when it came to writing that film and this is actually writing and planning and putting everything I've learned in the past 6 months into this. I don't expect this film to be great, but I do expect it to be good. All in all, it's been a good process trying to one-man this, and finding out everyday your weaknesses and insecurities. After all, that's what filmmaking is suppose to be about, unmasking your true character and becoming stronger in the process by getting up after getting hit and falling. But I'll be the first to admit that sometimes it's damn hard to get up, or want to get up, but somehow, a small fire no matter how small is still burning and refuse to be put out, some call it passion, I dont know what to call it, but it's the only thing that keeps me from getting a real job and still believing i can do this day in and day out, and still getting up to go to school after completing 4 years at UCSD and traveling and doing well in China for almost 2 years, and going back to DVC, now that's something I didn't want to do. But life gives u lemons, so I just squeeze them.
