Hi, I'm Jerry. As an actor who is fluent in English and conversant in Cantonese, I have appeared in numerous television shows, tv commercials, stage plays and films.
A versatile actor, Jerry has demonstrated a wide repertoire of diverse roles on a number of TV drama series and sitcoms, including AlterAsians, Heartlanders, Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd, and Growing Up. His local TV credits include the role of Chow Peng Wah, the Nichol Highway engineer who strangled his son and then killed himself on Channel 5's True Courage. On Arts Central's award-winning Singapore Short Story Project he was the tormented husband of an unfaithful wife, who harboured a secret of his own. On Malaysian television’s Buddies he played the role of the loud chinaman Mario, a rough diamond all out for self-improvement. In 2006 he was given the enviable dual-role of the Wushu Master and his alter-ego Uncle Sim in Kids Central’s Wushu Warriors. As the lovelorn Richard in After Hours (Channel 5), he made an indecent proposal to Joanne Peh with the now infamous line “I want to ask you out for dinner. I will pay you $10,000!”. In Incredible Tales, he turned in a chilling performance as Mr Tan, who tortured and raped his maids before he got his just desert! Upcoming projects include Maggie & Me 2 (Channel 5) and Truly Friendship (Channel 8).
2007 has seen Jerry in two international television productions: The Great Wall (Channel 4 & Discovery) as the unscrupulous court adviser and minister to Emperor Wangli, and De Javu (France 2) as the unwilling parent of French actresses Leslie Coutterand and Daphne HacQuard when they come to Singapore in search of their roots.
