My Steadicam included: Movcam Promax Sled Steadyrig Silver Spring Spring Arm (13-63 lbs)

Julian was born as a second child in a small family. When he was 16, he was inspired by an Art teacher, Mr.Tse, in his secondary school. Mr.Tse asked him to watch Pink Floyd -- "Another Brick in The Wall" and John Lennon -- "Imagine".

When he was 18, just after the first year in the TA School of HKAPA, he discovered that he is more suitable to work in the movie industry but not in the theater. Then he tried his best to learn everything in camera technology and lighting technique...Unfortunately, he is not a Film/TV student, so the only way for him to learn is "reading forum from the internet" and "seeing other people's working"...

After finished the studied in APA, Julian went to CityU HK to get a Bachelor Degree in School of Creative Media. He was the first year BA graduate from SCM.

When in the 2000, Julian got a chance to work in the movie "Gen-Y-Cop" (Benny Chan's film) and "Hollywood Hong Kong" (Fruit Chan's film) as the camera crew. At the same time, he worked together with a independent film director, Jason Lo, to shoot a docu-drama in the Tai Hom Village. At that time, Julian knew that if he want to be great, he need to learn more in different aspects inside the film industry.

In 2003, he start to learn Steadicam. He knew that if he want to be one of the cinematographer in the movie industry, he need to do something that those normal cinematographers don't do. So he choose Steadicam and Cinematography. He didn't took any courses on shooting video or film, but now he is one of the Cinematographer and Steadicam Operator in Hong Kong. He always keep in his mind "Nothing is Impossible"...

In the next few years, Julian worked on different kind of productions as DP or camera operator, included TVC, Corporate Video, MV, Documentary, TV program..... In 2007, Julian got a chance to work in a 35mm feature film "Jump" as a steadicam operator. It was the first 35mm project he worked on as steadicam operator. After that, he worked on a Korea TV Drama "East of Eden" in 2008, also as steadicam operator.

His Dream, since when he was 18 years old, want to be one of the top cinematographer in the world, NEVER changes....
