My old music teacher from high school just posted up these pics.. and through friends of friends they got tagged and reached me!
Check it out!
So I was always heavily involved in the music scene in my school, Shatin College, and I even had a rock band going on.. we called ourselves.. MAFIA ..(don't say anything).. and we would play covers of Hendrix, Aerosmith, and I can't really remember what else..
And we had one original that I myself wrote.. and it was our theme song for 2 years.. it was a hit..at least I tell myself that.. as we played it for school assemblies.. concerts..and even in our graduation formal.. it was called..
TRANSVESTITE (She's A Man)
I should find some old footage of that and youtube it... or better yet.. find my classmates and redo it again! Or perhaps I could do it solo for you guys..
Apart from that, I was also the drummer for the school jazz band!:
And I guess I liked to fool around on the drums a lot..
I was also... a CHOIR BOY!
Here's a few shots of.. I think the Xmas school concert, where I sang the lead for the song "hallelujah"
(That's me with the microphone)
Also, my final year in school, we did 'GREASE' the musical.. and I played John Travolta's role of Danny!
Here's a candid rehearsal shot..
I need to find the old tape and upload it to show you guys! It was so so so so fun.. especially doing the famous dance pointing moves of Greased Lightning!
And last but not least, I was well known in school for performing as Elvis around HK.. heck I even wore my hair in an Elvis greaser style to school.. thus achieving the nickname of Elvis amongst my peers.. and then my Elvis act was incorportated into school concerts and assemblies!
Here's a few pics of when I sang "Don't Be Cruel" for one of the school concerts:
I really should find some footage of all of this huh!
Hope you enjoyed a brief look into my past.
Coming up soon.. I just received pics from my trip to Elvis Presley's home in Memphis, GRACELAND.
I took pics with his original band members, his girlfriends, his backup singers, and also his right hand man. It is surreal to see myself standing next to these people, and then to see them standing next to Elvis in other photos.
Rock on guys.
