Was in Tom Lee the other day, and saw this baby:
It's the replica of a very iconic guitar used by Elvis in the 70's:
It's actually pretty cheap, around two thousand something..problem is I have no space at home! I already have around 7 guitars, and seriously I have nowhere to put a new one.
Told my other brother from another mother Ryan about that, and he told me about another guitar they had in Tom Lee that I missed, a replica of the guitar that Elvis used in the 50's..one of my favorites too..
Made by martin, and it was designed with a leather case that made the wood look like it had elaborate carvings in it.. here's the original:
Here's the replica:
I can't remember exactly how much Ryan said it was again, but I think it was like 16000 or something.. so.. guess that's out of the question.. for now! -EDIT- Ryan said it was around 60000!
For those of you that don't know already.. I am one of the King's men! Just like Scott's dad, we are devoted to Elvis in many ways. And if you didn't know also, that's how I started out with music, performing as Elvis. I've been doing it since the age of 12, and still doing it now and then these days! The next time I will do it is at Sam's show at the Venetian Macau. And guess what guitar I normally use on stage with Sam?
The gibson sj200 model.. also called Elvis king of rock!
That is my favorite guitar out of Sam's 1 million or so (hee hee) and I always use it when we jam or I have my lessons with him.
But that first guitar I saw in Tom Lee, to buy or not to buy?, that is the question.
