Places

Sometimes I find myself missing places I've visited in dreams more than anywhere I've been in real life.

Its the people I meet in my dreams that I miss the most. I have met some amazing people, some famous, some totally unknown to me outside of my dreams. I have even carried on relationships with people in my dreams that pick up anew each dream we share together. Those have been the wildest--catching up with someone since the last time we shared a dream together like friends do in the waking world! It really makes you wonder which reality is more "real". Dreams don't seem so trivial after a few months of dreams like this. But what, if anything, does it all mean?

Intresting - I'm learning that if I want a lot of comments... I should keep my blogs shorter. :) I'll answer a lot of questions in one sweep. I visit a variety of locatioins. Usually they are fragments from real places I've been. Sometimes, they are very exotic imaginings. One odd thing I noticed as my design became better, the more exotic locations I would imagine. These are not necessarily the locations I miss the most though. I think most of the locations I visit are intracate because they are assemblages of many places where you move from fragment to fragment like you're in a mystery house. Maybe what I miss is the time associated with the real life location fragments. It's hard to say. I tend not ever to dream of the more exotic locations I've been to or seen which is odd. Maybe my brain took it all in while I was there. It tends to be the more abstract moments that I'd forgotten at the time. Or didn't realize I should have taken note. I do return to the same locations and over time there is sort of a world I suppose being generated in my head. I don't always return to the same places, but when I do I recognize it. I will also mention that when I was in college for an entire year I dreamt I was inside the same building. Not good dreams either. I enjoyed reading everyone's thoughts and experiences. Glad I made the post.
