A native of Washington, D.C., Natalie Lewis began her early musical training with piano lessons, eventually switching to the French horn by age 11. As an active freelancer, she has performed with the Sarasota Orchestra, Charleston Symphony, Albany Symphony, New World Symphony, and as Principal Horn with the Florida Grand Opera in Miami. She has performed with such distinguished musicians as Placido Domingo, Kurt Masur, Lang Lang, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Bryn Terfel, Sarah Brightman, and has recorded tracks for Engelbert Humperdinck. She has been a member of the Hong Kong Philharmonic under Maestro Edo de Waart since 2009.
Natalie holds a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music (NYC) and a Bachelor’s Degree from the New England Conservatory of Music (Boston, MA). Her principal teachers have included Julie Landsman and Michelle Baker of the Metropolitan Opera, James Sommerville and Richard Mackey of the Boston Symphony, and Ted Thayer of the National Symphony Orchestra. She has attended summer festivals that have led her to perform at venues throughout the United States, South America, and Europe.
In addition to music, she is passionate about karaoke, dance, hiking, and enjoying all of the amazing food and culture Hong Kong has to offer.
