I've seen pretty much all episodes of south park available and it gets better every time.
When I first saw it, I was only mildly interested in the show. It was just crude cartoons with even worse toilet humor. But it never really hooked me in. I would only watch it if it was on and I had nothing else to watch or do.
These last few seasons, the story, the characters and the humor has become so much more sophisticated and intricate. I think it happened when they realized that the Kenny joke was getting old and so they took the character out.
All the new episodes focus on our social trends and groups. A satire of the flaws in the way we live our lives and handle issues. Stan observes all the black and white opinions of the townspeople and puts his two cents in to audiences who can never really grasp the depth of his views on these situations.
Asides from a great message that shows like The Simpsons and Family Guy usually lack (the ones they have just don't have the same impact). The way the present their jokes are just so clever and witty. Not just one arbitrary joke to an another. On one of the newer 3 part episodes titled "Imagination Land", they tie in a great number of older episodes along and the way they plan the episodes with all the twists... it had everything it needed to be an awesome movie. After I watched it, I literally said to myself out loud, "Wow, these guys are getting good."
Last thing about South Park
They read my mind! They do episodes on things that I've obsessed over and made fun of it. And I'm the type of person that does things to an excess. When I do something, I go all out (so I'm probably never gonna start drinking or smoking). So I played World of Warcraft a while back, and then an episode of South Park comes out and everything that's shown and done is so close to reality. WOW (world of warcraft) players loved it, I loved it, it was like watching ourselves play, we know we look stupid, we know that it's a waste of time but we do it anyways.
It boosted activity of the game a lot I'm sure, but it really should have gotten a lot more of the people to quit because it was pretty gross if you actually did that for long. In this episode Stan's dad really started to develop. Randy Marsh became the gullible overdoing it idiot that's the center of many jokes to come. And one of my favorite characters now.

I was so excited, I just started playing the game and they come up with an episode on it. They portray our irrational reasons for being obsessed with these things. But there's no explanation for it or against it. They let you know exactly what they think of players at the end of the episode and they show you exactly what we do after we've heard it.

This episode makes me feel stupid playing now, not that I didn't before though.
I still play. And it still makes me feel like a rock star. Can't wait for Rock Band.
