Some time ago, I was lucky enough to be invited down to Jennifer Thym's latest film set, Bloodtraffick. It was AWESOME!!! I don't know how much I am allowed to say or not, so I won't say anything at all about it! Except that the set was beautiful and incredibly well put together, just the sort of quality set and production that we've all come to expect from Jen. For anyone who doesn't already know Jen (on AnD she goes by her production company's name Rockginger), she does everything in a meticulous, highly professional way that many of us seeking to work in the independent Asian film / tv scene are not used to experiencing at all. It is really a pleasure to work with Jen or even to be down on one of her sets. She always has a full and highly experienced crew, beautiful elaborate sets, a highly-skilled photographer on hand and some of the nicest camera and lighting set-ups you will ever see on an independent Asian set. On top of that she is kind of hot herself too, which makes it much easier to follow her politely issued commands (at least if you are a shallow male like me). Here are some of the photos from the set for your enjoyment: Jennifer Thym herself hard at work in front of the monitor: Her producer / business partner in this particular venture, Desmond So: The lead of the film, super-talented actress Grace Huang: Hiromi, who was doing make-up was very sick that day, but kept pushing through: A series of the cast and crew hard at work: Derrick, who came down to check out the set with me, essentially f-ing around: A cool shot of him and the RedOne: It was awesome to be able to come on set with Jen and her cast / crew. I for one can't wait to see the first footage from what promises to be a great new project from Ms Thym!
