Work continues at speed on our 2nd coffee table book, Killer Kawaii! This book focuses on cute and attractive Asian girls dressed in anime outfits and given some serious weaponry (machine guns, swords numchuks, pistols etc.) shot against a green, blue or white screen background. Then the photographed images are handed over to a digital artist who replaces the plain background with a comic book background that they draw in. Trust me, it's going to be pretty awesome! This shoot, we were very lucky to be working with Gloria Wong, who has done a very wide range of photoshoots in Hong Kong in the last few years. She was great to work with and really new her poses and mastered the look we wanted in no time. Remember she is a no nonsense killer, despite her cute appearance! Unfortunately I only had my iPhone to take behind the scenes pictures, so the quality is not fantastic and they are a bit dark, but at least you can get the idea general idea.
