Over the last few months, I have had the pleasure of working closely with the extremely talented Metro boys: Sean, Eric and Kevin on a truly meaningful project. You see after a lot of talking, we had all decided that for their next song for release, they would cover one of their most loved Hong Kong songs, which has not just been a strong influence and inspiration to their music since arriving in HK, but has been an enormous influence on Hong Kong music and people as a whole for a generation. The song: "Under a Vast Sky" 海闊天空 originally by the incredible Beyond. To add to the pressure to produce something really outstanding, we had decided to release the song and music video on June 30th in memory of Wong Ka Kui 黃家駒 , the musical visionary and incredibly talented lead singer of Beyond who had tragically passed away in an accident on stage in Japan on June 30th 1993 at the height of his career. I am happy to say, that I think Metro did an incredible job and really put their emotions into the song. You can see the video and listen to the song here: Video: http://www.youtube.com/v/bItVP-zxzmE&hl=en_US&fs=1&Today, it is the most viewed music video in Hong Kong and the 3rd most viewed video overall in Hong Kong. It was also shown on Channel V and featured on several websites including Music Dish Asia. I have to say, I am incredibly proud of the boys and what they have done. And I think they have done justice to a great song and a great singer.
