A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be able to go to the LV party at Simon Birch's Hope & Glory exhibition with Race & Rosanne Wong. For those of you who haven't already been lucky enough to see the exhibition, I strongly suggest you go immediately! Firstly it is huge! On the promotional materials, it is named as being the largest art installation in Hong Kong's history. Secondly it is damn impressive. This is not merely a series of art pieces hung on a wall. This is real, living, breathing art, both 2D and 3D, which comes screaming out at you from every corner of the room and often from the floor and ceiling too. Thirdly it is incredibly varied, both in terms of mediums and in terms of content. There are holograms and custom built rooms, multi-substance sculptures, videos and tv shows, many of Simon's beautiful and famous paintings, massive model aerial war battles and even a giant skateboarding half pipe ramp. This show is not messing about! It is damn impressive and it is in your face. So go and see it as soon as you can. Details here: I didn't want to post any pictures of the actual artwork, as it needs to be seen in reality to be fully appreciated. However, I did take some attractive photos of Race & Rosanne whilst I was there, taking advantage of the unusual and exciting light opportunities, and thought I'd share them with the rest of you. A giant R for 2R, for Race & for Rosanne:Race looking angelic: Surrounded by the light: Race and Rosanne looking beautiful and incredibly sweet together: My favourite photo of Race from the day. To me she looks hopeful, innocent and beautiful at the same time: Once again a really great evening out and a great exhibition. I strongly advise all of you to go as soon as possible.
