We have been running our sister site alive.cn for a bit over a year already, with the emphasis on connecting artists to job opportunities. This includes booking artists for performances, in other cases its working with artists to help our clients with social media marketing or short film production.

One new area we have been exploring is connecting artists with endorsement deals or product collaboration opportunities. We have been working with China's largest e-commerce platform, Taobao.com, on their new Star Channel project to help connect Taobao's top vendors to artists to create new artist collaboration products for sale online in the Mainland China market.
Last week Taobao organized a summit, titled "名人&商家 非诚勿扰 "(Literally "Celebrity & Merchant - If You Are the One") to educate artists and their managers about the types of collaboration opportunities available and show some successful case studies of what has worked for different types of artists and vendors. Over 30 artists and representatives and 30 of Taobao's top merchants attended.

Some highlights of the event included presentations by successful Star Channel participants Shi Yang (师洋) and Jacky Xue (薛之谦). Xue is a Shanghai based singer who launched his own line of women's clothing. Shi Yang, also singer has his own line of cosmetics which have grown exponentially in popularity, now selling over 1 million RMB per month.  Celebrity artists participating in Taobao's Star Channel include Huang Xiaoming, Carina Lau and Xu Jinglei.

Brian, Masson, Jacky Xue and Alvin alive brought a group including one artist and several managers and representatives for artists to attend the event and learn about the potential opportunities available. Fashion model and actress Masson Ge attended in person and was able to sit down and meet three of Taobao's top vendors in her area of interest, women's apparel. We are now working with Masson to build on the positive results of the event to chose the best vendor to launch her own line of lingerie. We are also pleased to announce we signed an agreement with Hong Kong film legend Elvis Tsui (徐錦江) to launch and operate his own Taobao Star Channel shop.
