The week in review.

Last week's activities centered around but was not limited to climate change and the environment.

Outgoing Mayor of Toronto Mr. David Miller shares his experience with the fight for funds to initiate the changes the City of Toronto needs to reduce it's carbon footprint.

The event dovetails with the Climate Dialog a four day symposium featuring academics, governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as new technologies and moves onto EcoExpoAsia where evironmentally focused commercial concerns promote new technologies.

Not sure what the above was all about but is certainly is Disneylike.

The above traffic cycle is all electric.  Suited for inner city use.  I am told that an electric highway interceptor will be available next year.  Can't wait.  Unlike petrol powered motorcycles which need to generate torque via the RPM power range curves.  Electric drive motors generate instant torque....so with a twist of the wrist you could be on the back of your head!

Running concomitantly with evironment is medical device technologies.

Checked out the latest infrared scanner technology.

Then onto the inagural fundraising ball for the Orphans of AIDS in Zambia.  The Contesa Fund succeed in raising funds to the order of six significant digits.  Entertainment and event organizations included many talents from AnD.

A gala black tie event.  I have an issue with black tie events because no matter what when I wear a tuxedo people seem to think I am the head waiter/matre'd/MC.  To mitigate that, I went into wardrobe archives, like Henry the Record Keeper in "RED" or the prop man at the old Hollywood studios where all props had been kept for ages to find something that I hadn't worn in close to 37 years!
