bypassing all the traffic in front of you everyday

make sure you'll greet any upcoming faces

pick up the litter that hits your toes

that trash bin is not that far out of reach

it doesn't matter if others don't follow

coz i know i can rely on you

and just a few more miles away...

share your lunch box with the lady

sitting in that corner with her baby,

they'll never get to save your money,

it's food that she needs to feed her and the little one

keep looking, just a few more steps away...

scene changes everyday in our play,

sometimes it will change your face from pink to grey

but don't let them play you that way

just step away, breathe, and say "it's OK"

coz you're not that far away...

you'll see a river, glittering in gold and silver

a gust of warmth caresses you every inch

you'll realize all the madness is away

look further, across the river

it's me standing there waving at you

take that little boat, it'll bring you to me
