I am currently shooting a movie in Malta and its very beautiful here. the city is filled will amazing architecture, the buildings are a rigid variant of Italian Mannerism. The Island has its very own unique character: it sort of reminds me of Mallorca and a bit of South of France. The design of the whole city of Valletta is so unique cause there is a strong emphasis on rusticated corners, the whole city is basically made out of the same sandy rough looking stone. The city is mainly full of Catholics, so there are amazing churches, filled with breathtaking art pieces and mosaics.
The only thing that is very unfortunate is that the Maltese people don't really seem to care about cleanliness, so they have a lot of garbage laying all over the city.
Overall, the Maltese people are very friendly and humble, remind me of a mix of Italians and Spanish. They seem to love to party and do their festa....which is a very good thing, that should keep them young and happy at heart!!!
