DIESEL - CULTivate featuring Kami

I’ve heard about Kami and his artwork since 1998 and have been an instant fan. He’s always been my favorite artist in Japan, just loving his style.

Thanks to Mabo (Wabi Sabi) we were able to do some collaboration with KAMI san for Know1edge. We were super honored and psyched.

Few weeks ago, I received a surprised phone call from KAMI san himself saying that he was coming with his wife to HK to do a painting project with Diesel.

I was so psyched to finally be able to meet up with KAMI san. Props to Diesel Hong Kong for acknowledging such an artist (good job Fed).

It was KAMI and his family’s (Sasu san and Kai chan) first time in Hong Kong. Loving it.

Kami reminded me of the Jackie Chan movies, Blade Runner and all that.

Collaboration between husband and wife; KAMI and SASU ‘HITOTZUKI’ which means

MOON & SUN.

Fed from Diesel in Hong Kong together with his team did something great again for Hong Kong’s arts scene, with the help of his good friend, Young Kim aka Suitman. They put together an impressive small art shows at their Diesel flagship store in Central Queen’s Road. The turnout was (as always), really really good.

I’m just so damn glad that they are able to acknowledge great artists such as KAMI and his wifey SASU, both of them are talented and I’ve been a big KAMI fan for a long long time.

Either you live in HK or visiting it, you should come down and check them out.
