The Shino

A friend of mine that I used to perform with back in L.A is now probably the single most sought out choreographer's working in Japan today. She's the creative director behind BOA, and has worked with every singer you could possibly imagine.

When I told her I was working on a collection with Stylists to design a handbag for the mata hari FW2010, she told me I had to meet her friend Shino Suganuma...

Shino's jobs list thicker than the bible! She's worked for everyone including; Chara, Ayuse, Kozue, Elle, Spur, Nylon, Marie Claire, Non-no, Warp, Sport&Street, Monocle, Isetan, Stussy, Laforet, Levi's, Beams, Topshop, etc...

On top of all of that, she writes for Spring Magazine and is also a member of the popular DJ duo, Kilimanjaro.

Designing a statement bag with the words "YES" and "NO" the Shino bag was born.
