Gymnastic Gold

Well the Women's all around in Gymnastics is finally over........congrats to the Team USA........Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson finished one two.....and China's Yang Yilin finished third........this was a close competition with the last event ......floor excercise determining the winner.  Nastia's routines were graceful and Shawn was just a little powerhouse.  It still comes down to concentration and focus.....you can't think about your routine, or what some else has done.........the only thing you can do is your routine....it has to be automatic and perfect.  The Chinese Women cracked under the pressure and made major mistakes...........and it's too bad when you carry the hopes of the China on your back...........makes it hard to focus........Probably the controversy over their ages did not help....though again that's not their fault.........they are there to compete.......it's the result of the Olympics being a important showcase for their country....politics always messes things up..........everyone does it for the medals..........rather it should be for the competition..again in an ideal world!!

Nastia had to be perfect in her events to win. Her balance beam routine showed goos acrobatic skill and excellent balance.
