Hot like Hell

Well, fortunately for us it has cooled down some...weather has been up in the 80's...and in the South Bay even higher.  One good thing about living in SF is the offshore breezes and fog....it keeps those hot days in check.........but most importantly the cooling trend will help the thousands of firefighters with putting out the raging forest fires in California.......it so bad that my eyes burn sometimes and the air is really bad....can actually smell the burning fires........at one time there was over 1.000 firs burning at the same time!  While yesterday was cooler...temperature moved toward 70 today........hopefully it won't get hot like hell.............

Oh yes.....hell....well actually Hellboy 2 opened...........I like comic book adaptations if the director and animation are good...........since Guillermo Del Toro did the directing Hellboy has that dark fantasy aspect to it.......but the details are fantastic and the monsters kool.  The fighting is real good........when you see it you realize why wushu is just made for movies...........the action is fast and furious.............good use of spear and double broadsword.  I was talking to Wushu Kung fu Magazine about promoting wushu better....and they brought up that one of the best ways to market wushu to the world is to concentrate on what makes it exciting to see.......and that's the fighting forms, and group sets.  Sparring forms in wushu are just incredible.............perfect for the big screen........and yes Hellboy does have a story.........one we need to save nature.........man does a lot of taking from it and gives back nada....................remember it was not too long ago that President Bush said there was no global warming.............now it's we need China and India to cooperate if we are to control this problem.........wait doesn't the US use more power than any country in the world??!  Of course we can solve the oil crisis by drilling in Alaska.........riiiiight...........yeah,  Hellboy, reminds us we have a compact with nature and as it's caretaker we have done a bad job.............  The movie also points to our myopic eyesight that anything that's different we often fear................you might be part of Yellow Peril, the Muslim Hordes, or just old, black, homeless or poor.........we are all brother and sisters under the skin.....the differences only serve those in power and keep us from seeing what we have in common and working together to change the world.  Anyway if you have a chance check out Hellboy it's a lot of fun and very visual....with moments of comedy.......and thoughtful commentary..........and it's fun.  Ok, stay kool, cya!
