After that, we went next door for 50% off sushi (after 9:30pm). I went buckwild and ordered 18 pieces of salmon sushi to start. People always give me weird looks because it's so un-HongKong to order a bunch of the same items. They love to eat all different kinds of variety here. Ordering a bunch of the same thing is just ridiculous in their eyes. But I go by American logic--if you like something, eat more of it. Over and over. Back in high school McDonalds had 29 cents cheeseburgers every Wed, so Vince and I would go and we'd order 18 cheeseburgers. Then we'd go to 711 and buy a super big gulp and that'd do us in for the night.
Still, the 18 pieces of salmon wouldn't do me in. I ordered salad, tuna sashimi, and soft shell crab. I couldn't stop ordering cause 50% off is too good a deal. I'd be thinking I may be full but what the hell, a mango avocado cali roll is only 12 bucks. What can you get for 12 bucks? A fucking coffee at Cafe Habittu is 40, man. (seriously, WTF?)
This is a random picture of my album collection at work. These are not necessarily the best or the most popular albums. But they're my personal favorites during my time there. Jimmy Eat World's Bleed American is an emo classic, Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is the greatest r & b album of this decade, and the Black album is just amazing. Then there's In Rainbows, my choice for best album during my two year stint at Beats, and the overrated as hell American Idiot.
